We’ll worship video games, phones, or even a toaster if we deny Jesus as our God. But what exactly is faith?
Faith is belief in the unseen, the unproven, and the uncertain. Faith encompasses a wide array of meanings in modern culture. There religious faith that connects individuals to the divine, to faith in oneself, in humanity, or in the greater good.
I would like to make the case that faith outside of Jesus is empty and basically lying to ourselves. From the book of Romans in reference to the Gospel:
For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “But THE RIGHTEOUS man SHALL LIVE BY FAITH.”Romans 1:17 (NASB)
Faith and Spiritual Salvation
Faith is seen as a fundamental component of salvation within authentic Christianity. It is the bridge that connects individuals to to God through Jesus and offers the promise of eternal life.
Faith in Jesus Christ as the Savior is believed to be the means of salvation. Believers are called to place their trust and faith in Him for the forgiveness of sins and the gift of eternal life.
Faith and Personal Transformation
Beyond spiritual salvation, faith has become a tool to monetize and sell the idea of personal transformation. People like Tony Robbins and Joel Osteen inspire people to rise above their circumstances by manifesting their own destinies.
They have perfected the business model of selling people on the idea that they are their own god and can control the universe. Getting a pep talk and a warm fuzzy never helped anyone for very long. It won’t help you or me either.
Faith and Mental Health
Faith can have a profound impact on mental health and emotional well-being. Studies have shown that individuals with strong religious or spiritual beliefs often show greater resilience in the face of stress and trauma.

Faith also fosters a sense of meaning and purpose in life:

- telling the truth in love
What this doesn’t include is going along with false cultural narratives like the social justice movements, climate church, and spin the gender wheel.
Faith motivates individuals to translate their beliefs into tangible deeds based in truth; not fairy tales.
Consider the countless humanitarian efforts, driven by faith, that have alleviated suffering and improved lives around the world. Faith in action demonstrates the profound impact belief can have on the world.
Faith is not an isolated concept but an agent for change.
Can Faith Alone Save You?
The question of whether faith alone can save you is a subject of theological debate and discussion. Different religious traditions and belief systems offer varying perspectives on the relationship between faith and salvation.
Faith in Jesus as God is the only path to salvation if you claim to be a Christian. You’re just another pagan if you believe anything else, because we weren’t given “Burger King Jesus.”
Biblical Jesus is God. It’s His way, right away. Not ours. Grab a study Bible and read it often to grow your faith.
